Humanist Wedding Celebrant in Scotland

Your Ceremony. Your Story. Your Scotland.

Your wedding ceremony should be about the two of you — not a standard script, not a list of things you are expected to say, and not a ceremony that could belong to anyone. I'm Robbie, a Humanist wedding celebrant based in Scotland, and I create warm, personal and genuinely meaningful ceremonies for couples from Scotland and around the world. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement on the Isle of Skye, a wedding in the Highlands, a castle, on a beach, or somewhere that has special meaning to you, I can legally marry you anywhere in Scotland.

A ceremony that's about you

Before I write a word of your ceremony, I want to get to know you. Not just how you met, but who you are, what matters to you, what makes you laugh, what you've shared together and what you're promising each other for the future. Your ceremony is not a performance. It's a template for telling your story in a way that feels natural, personal and completely yours. Some couples want something simple and intimate. Others want family and friends, music, readings or symbolic elements such as handfasting, candle lighting, a quaich or a sand ceremony.

There is no right way to do it.

There is only your way.

Scotland — or anywhere in Scotland

I'm happy to travel wherever your ceremony takes me. From Edinburgh and St Andrews to Glencoe, the Highlands and the Isle of Skye, Scotland gives you an incredible choice of places to get married. And if you've travelled from the USA, Australia, Europe or somewhere else in the world to get married here, you don't need to be Scottish to have a Scottish Humanist marriage. I'll guide you through the ceremony and the legal paperwork you need to complete, so you can concentrate on the important part — getting married. Let's see if I'm the right celebrant for you. Choosing your celebrant is personal. That's why I offer an initial meeting, either in person or online, so we can talk, get to know each other and see whether I'm the right person to conduct your ceremony.

If you'd like to chat about your plans, I'd love to hear your story.
